Behavioral ecology
Diana Perez Staples has a PhD in ecology and resource management from the Institute of Ecology, Xalapa, Mexico, mainly focusing on the behavioral ecology of agricultural pests.
During her postdoctoral Fellowship research in Australia, she has investigated the sexual behavior of an Australian fruit fly and its application in pest control.
Now, she works at Veracruzana University on pre and postcopulatory behaviours such as multiple mating and sperm allocation strategies.
