Jamillah Zamoon

Jamillah Zamoon has a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota, USA, and is currently working as an assistant professor at the University of Kuwait. With the UNESCO-L'Oréal Fellowship, she is able to complete her research at the Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, USA. She works on the relationship between structure and function in proteins. In particular, she plans to decipher the structure of proteins found in a naturally occurring substance that could have important implications for treatment of diabetic patients.
